Dear NICWA Cause Members,

While NICWA maintains a diverse funding stream, we still largely rely on the generosity of our donors. One way that many of our supporters have been able to help is by donating items to our annual silent auction. At NICWA’s annual “Protecting Our Children” conference, we hold a silent auction during our banquet night to raise additional funds to support our work. The conference attracts an average of 700 people from around the U.S. and Canada who work with AI/AN children, primarily social workers, tribal leaders, and state and federal employees. The auction provides our participants the opportunity to bid on many excellent items and provides artists and companies broader exposure. In the past, we have received blankets, baskets, jewelry, hotel stays, dinner coupons, regalia, artwork, books, and much more.

Some of our auction donors include Wasco/Warm Springs artist Lillian Pitt, Navajo professional golfer Notah Begay III, Pendleton Woolen Mills, and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. We hope that you will join our list of auction donors today and become a NICWA supporter. NICWA is a registered 501 (c) (3), so all donated items are tax deductible and will contribute to NICWA’s ability to assist children and families in need. Thank you for considering our request, and if you have any questions please contact Leslie Miller, board and member relations manager, at 503-222-4044 or millerl@nicwa.org.

Ahéhee' (Thank you),
